Magnetic Vortex
« on: August 26, 2014, 12:26:28 AM »
Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to create a magnetic vortex in the air by using an electrically conductive fog. If it is possible, would incorporating a magnetic vortex into a cylindrical ionocraft/venturi design increase the thrust?

I was thinking that the ionocraft would combine this lifter: http://www.oocities.org/marktecson/images/pic1.jpg and this venturi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYePiAM6sbk&t=0m16s into one piece. Compressed fog would be pumped into the venturi thereby creating a low pressure which would cause the surrounding air to be drawn in.

Thank You
