I have been reading an Amazing book by Dr. Teruo Higa(japanese person) who has come up with a means to resolve our worlds problems through effective microorganisms(EM).I took a semester of microbiology in college and then worked for two years in a microbiology lab in a hospital for two years so this book really speaks to me.Its Called"An Earth Saving Revolution"CC 1993 english translation CC 1996.here is a link to his work.  http://www.emearth.com/

Zero Wastes Recycling
The co-founders of Emerald Earth, James McMath and Sabine Steinhardt, are very excited about the enormous recycling opportunities that this new EM Technology™ offers. James writes, "More than ever, it's time for these microscopic beings to do their magic on the Earth again! This is an incredible new technology that naturally cleans the environment without any negative side-effects. That's because it's the same technology that nature has been using for billions of years. The breakthrough is that we've learned to partner closer with nature. With Effective Microorganisms®, wastes will become a thing of the past. Virtually anything and everything can now be recycled to produce biofuels, organic foods, recycled water, non-toxic fertilizers, natural building materials, and a host of other sustainable byproducts. When I first learned of EM® many years ago, I often commented that this was 'the most important scientific discovery ever.' Today, I believe this to be true - more than ever.

it makes sense to me.nature recycles every atom on the planet, man needs to do the same thing.triffid

Triffid,

Many thanks for the hints and clues.  A brief search
led to the web page which led to videos which resulted
in discovering how easy it is to make Lactic Acid Bacteria
(Lactobacillus.)  Cultivate would be better than "make."

Very valuable knowledge for all gardeners and composters.

Hear, hear.
@All Trolls that are getting paid for derailing the quest for planet friendly energy alternatives, you have blood on your hands!
You are killing the planet which we borrowed from our children.
You are killing a lot of people/children because they cannot prepare for when disaster strikes.

Stop trolling and let people evolve to better beings!
Yeah, bbem, I read what you said...
However, I know quite well that the ones---on this site, or elsewhere---who're foisting their cr@p on us may not.....Give.....A.....Damn....about what we or other think.   If they're being paid, then the ones paying them are the same inconsiderate jerks, as well.
Right.  Is there an answer?   the, the economy will eventually enter a political/social/commercial  "tail spin" and that'll 'level the playing field' for just about everyone.   Let's see them compete against everyone for food and water when public social services end forever, for everyone.
I do actually have an exit plan in place.

Sea Monkey,When I studied microbiology in college we studied one microorganism at a time. When I worked in the microbiology lab in the hospital we were basically growing one culture at a time.EM is a system by which groups of microorganisms are used for fertilizer, herbicides, and even self tilling of the soils. So its a pretty radical departure from what I was taught.I did know that certain fungi could restore polluted lands(from oil) to where other plants could grow and even thrive. Now he says that EM can restore those polluted lands also.He says that even heavy metals can be rendered harmless.Part of my reason for being in this thread is to point out solutions to the worlds problems if I can find them. This EM method deserves watching.triffid

 Why Bokashi?

It is versatile.  You can compost all of your kitchen wastes including dairy, meat, and  baked goods.  Why throw any of that away?
No strong putrid odors.
No insects or rodents.
No nutrients are lost.  Everything is contained within the system.
Minimal greenhouse gases are produced.
The bokashi process is compact.  No need for a yard or large compost piles.
No turning necessary.
No need to worry about green to brown ratios.
The scraps are inoculated with beneficial microorganisms.
Worms great in conjunction with vermiculture.
It is easy.  Even a child could do it.
Great for school projects.

Looks like war is coming? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/05/02/map-how-ukraine-and-russia-are-moving-toward-war/?tid=pm_world_pop

With Ukrainian troops launching a major assault on a rebel stronghold Friday, just a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Kiev to withdraw its troops from the east and south of the country, it looks like the Ukraine crisis is entering a new stage.
As The Post's Michael Birnbaum reported from Moscow, "it seemed possible that even a small spark could ignite a tinderbox regional conflict."

LATER REEDIT:

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-27274091
About the only military force that can stand up to the Russians is the American forces.   If the Russians invade Crimean territory, this could escalate to a big regional conflict---with the EU becoming frightened that they'll be invaded, as well.

It is normal for USA? Western world wants to invest in weapons, not in solving economic problems?
In a recent media article, thusly...

http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/International/2014/May-04/255314-russian-bombers-fighter-jets-seen-over-crimea.ashx#axzz30mRAUE7f

So then, Russian aircraft were seen flying over Crimean territory.   I was told by a well informed individual that this whole scenario probably won't end well.   The Russians won't back down---especially if their smartest thinkers with decision-making authority realize the game is about over for them.   They may think:   If they go down in terms of quality of life, they'll take others with them, if possible.
Very 'Russian' of them in their MILITARY THINKING.
Not to say anything against Crimean peasants.   They didn't start what appears to be a full-fledged civil war in the making; outside forces like the Russian Political Establishment are more at fault.

Oh, well.   Nothing we can do about it.   All we can do is watch from a distance.

BTW, the poll I started on the first page of this thread has 256 poll voters.
Those, like me, number over 51% of the votes that we say the economy will get worse.   And it's been over 50% for months and months.

How did Crimea and now what is also the
eastern regions of The Ukraine become
parts of The Ukraine?

Those areas had been Russia for a very
long time and the inhabitants remain
Russian speaking.  They were never asked
whether they wanted to be made part of
The Ukraine.  It seems that there was never
any lawful process involved in the ceding of
that part of Russia to The Ukraine by Soviet
Dictatorship in the 50s.

By International Law, those regions should
still be legally Russia.

Another indication the this might get out of hand if something positive---anything!?!?!---is done to separate the opposing military factions.

Russia now is not the Soviet Union of the past.

They've broken free from their external (non-
Russian) control and have undone the yoke of
Communism as it was imposed upon them by
Marxist/Leninist Jews.

It is for that reason, coupled with their ability
to circumvent IMF/Federal Reserve controls,
that the Zionist Controlled U.S.A./E.U./U.K.
are determined to subjugate Russia by forcing
it into war in The Ukraine.

The New World Order (Zionist Control of Planet
Earth) has planned to subjugate all nations in
order to end national sovereignty as the One
World Government of Jerusalem is made supreme.

What is soon to occur is not good for all inhabitants
of Planet Earth.  There will be much destruction,
massive death and extreme brutality as the AGENDA
marches forward.

What has happened to Palestine and the Palestinians
is a foretaste of what is to come for the rest of
mankind who are not of "The Tribe."
